Past Show Highlights

Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead
This was the first show Justin did professionally in Chicago playing the pot head Van (the high schooler who was once known as Linus in a favorite cartoon). The show was also the first for Odradek Theatre Company, which was founded by friend and early mentor of Justin, Jon Wikholm. Justin still works with Odradek but has not performed with them recently.

Jesus Camp: The Musical
The second main stage show Justin worked on with Corn Productions was the popular show Jesus Camp: The Musical. Justin played central character Brian who after being shunned by his family (and dog) finds himself at a Christian Camp for Young Christians and if initially shunned by his peers as well. He gains a few friends included fellow out cast Rachel (played by Anne Boyer) and camp counselor Gary (played by Mike Mazzocca, co-writer of Diabetic: The Musical). After the camp competition Brian finds that he is the second coming of Christ himself. The musical got rave reviews and after its original four week run it was extended another month in the fall. Right now the show is applying for the New York Fringe Fest where Justin will continue his role as Brian.

Naked Roommates Present Naked Roommates
In the Spring of 2012 Justin and good friend/ fellow actor Jake Sanders decided they had a lot of good ideas and characters that needed to be shared with the world. After writing a few short videos to be filmed and put on YouTube, they realized they did not have access to the needed equipment for this to work. So they figured, why not just create a sketch show? And that is exactly what they did. In September of 2012 Naked Roommates Present Naked Roommates debuted at The ViaDuct theatre. They did it all. Creating, writing, casting, rehearsing, prodicing and performing in Naked Roommates. After the shows success they decided to not end it all there and The Naked Roommates duo (Justin and Jake) plan on bringing more creative comedy to the city of Chicago in the future.

Justin can also be seen frequently in drinking game shows with Corn Productions at The Cornservaoty Theatre. These shows are sketch comedy with a drinking game element. Audiences bring their own alcohol if they choose to and play along with the show by drinking with a game established during the start of the show. These shows have been reviewed by Windy City Live as being " the wackiest and smartest sketch comedy in Chicago". So check back here to find out when you can catch one of these shows.
